With the September 1st IMAX premiere of Marvel’s Inhumans, a TV series version of the popular comic-book series, just days away, promotional materials are starting to arrive in a steady stream. We now have this colorful set of character posters to enjoy.
There’s a revolt between two rival brothers in the Royal Family and one side has to escape to Earth. These character posters start to give us an idea of who we’re supposed to be rooting for. Black Bolt (played by Anson Mount) is inhuman royalty with a burden to bear. Medusa (Serinda Swan) looks as fiery as her hair. Maximus the Mad (Iwan Rheon) looks ready to live up to his name…. etc.
Disney is pitching Marvel’s Inhumans as a new kind of family drama. Which is definitely a different way to present super-heroes. The network series premiere, including the first two episodes of “Marvel’s Inhumans,” will air September 29 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.
“Marvel’s Inhumans” explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.
