Disney’s Hollywood Studios sets up preview center, closes One Man’s Dream

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set to close the last of its opening day attractions tomorrow and open two new lands in the next two years. To say there is massive transformation ahead is a bit of an understatement. As Disney sometimes does, they like to set up a preview center to get current guests excited about what’s to come and, ideally, book a trip in the future to experience the finished product.

I’m happy that Disney will open up “Walt Disney Presents” to house previews of Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in the near future. But it does mean the closure of One Man’s Dream to make it happen.

We’re told that among some historical items from Walt Disney’s history, will be models, concept arts, maquettes, as well as Imagineering models of both lands. The Toy Story Land model will be making its public debut.

For you Guardians of the Galaxy fans, Star-Lord and baby Groot will continue their meet and greet. The theater will also continue to be used for previews of upcoming films.

Which new land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are you looking forward to the most?

  1. Sad to see the closures. I love Hollywood studios only thing Disney should be giving a reduced ticket price now that there is too few attractions to support the price.

  2. Sadly this will be the last time we come to Disney. Why? Because of the cost to stay and the many closures you all have gotten rid of. Sad for people who think it is for the best but to most of the people I talk to think the same way I do. Oh well more money for me. Lol

    1. Cost? Sure they’ve gone up, as they inevitably will. But the closures are to be followed by great new lands and attractions. I’m looking forward to visiting the new-and-improved DHS!
