Disneyland’s Horses moved to new Circle D Ranch location

Earlier in June, Disneyland held an open house and dedication for its new Circle D Ranch location. Although it’s further away from the resort, requiring transport via trailer every day, the new ranch is a state of the art facility for Disney’s stable of equine animals. The old location had to be moved to make way for the Star Wars land expansion.

At 5.5 acres, the ranch occupies a much larger location than what Disneyland had backstage at the resort. The new facility has more comfortable stalls for the horses, a larger exercise and play area for horses enrichment.

On hand to dedicate the facility were Disneyland Resort Ambassador Mikey Trujillo, Disneyland Sr VP Mary Niven, and, of course, Mickey Mouse!

Btw, love Mickey’s cowboy costume. That should definitely be available as a meet and greet option in Frontierland. Right?
