Star Wars droid BB-8 now greeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the hub of activity from that galaxy far, far away that we’re all so excited about. In addition to props, toys and memorabilia from your favorite Star Wars films, you can greet some favorite characters like Kylo Ren and Chewbacca. Now you can add the lovable droid BB-8.

Previously, BB-8 was featured in the finale of the “Galaxy Far, Far Away” stage show, but there wasn’t really an opportunity to get your photo taken with the popular droid character.

Rian Johnson, director of The Last Jedi, calls BB-8 the Buster Keaton of Star Wars VIII. Buster Keaton was known for his great physical comedy. Something BB-8 has in spades too.

As you can see in the video, this encounter lets you get up close and even hug the roly-poly droid. Those who love BB-8 are now able to say so in person. It’s a pretty cool experience that I hope to enjoy many times. How about you?
