Director of A Wrinkle In Time Shares Images from the set

Ava DuVernay, who is directing “A Wrinkle In Time” for the Walt Disney Studios announced the wrap of principal production for the film with a series of tweets. The tweets marked the last days of shooting for many of the main cast and crew. They also are some of our first looks at how this movie will shape up.

The story follows the adventures of Meg who is searching for her father, a government scientist, who has gone missing while working on a secret project called a tesseract.

These shots provide a great behind the scenes look at the production:

Rowan Blanchard, whom Disney fans will know from her role as Riley Matthews on “Girl Meets World” which aired on the Disney Channel, is in an as yet unannounced role in the film.

Andre Holland is coming off a role in the Academy Award winning moving “Moonlight”:

Deric McCabe plays the role of Charles Wallace, the younger brother of Meg Murry.

Mindy Kaling plays Mrs Who:

Levi Zane Miller will play Calvin O’Keefe.

Reese Whitherspoon is cast as Mrs. Whatsit:

Oprah!

and Storm Reid, who plays the lead role of Meg.

Of course, no film is made with its talented crew:

Not thanked, but also in the cast are Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zach Galifianakis, and Michael Pena.

“A Wrinkle In Time” is scheduled to be released on April 6, 2018.
