Watch “You’re Welcome” song from Disney’s Moana

Have you seen Disney’s Moana yet? Of course you have. Do you remember the scene where Moana meets the demi-god Maui on the deserted isle he’d been stranded on? Do you remember the song? You’ve probably been humming it off and on since seeing the film. Just in case you’ve forgotten how it goes, here’s the song direct from the movie. You know what to say, “You’re Welcome.”

Yep. “You’re Welcome” as sung by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho appears to have become the default ear worm from “Moana.” So grab your coconuts and sing along.I like the song and agree with composer Lin-Manuel Miranda that it relies a lot on the charm of Dwayne Johnson to carry it off.

“I thought it would be really fun to hear The Rock sing ‘You’re welcome for my existence. You’re welcome that you get to meet me,'” said Miranda. “Dwayne has such incredible charm and he totally delivers the character’s confidence and cockiness.”

Manuel was also interviewed about the making of the song, in a video we featured earlier.
