Sunday January 17th will be a first for Orlando. The NFL Pro Bowl will be played in Camping World Stadium and televised live on ESPN. It’s a great opportunity for Central Florida to show off a bit and Disney is definitely planning to take advantage of the opportunity by hosting some Pro Bowl events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World.

These events will include:

  • Pro Bowl AFC and NFC practices will be held alongside youth football competitions, activities and fan events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which annually hosts more than 100 youth sports events, such as the Pop Warner Super Bowl.
  • NFL FLAG Championships and Punt, Pass, and Kick National Championships will take place at the sports complex. The 13-14 Boys Championship Game will be aired on ESPN as part of the network’s broadcast of the Pro Bowl.
  • The first-ever NFL Women’s Career in Football Forum will be held in conjunction with USA Football’s Women’s World Football Games at the sports complex. The forum will prepare women for careers in football operations, including coaching, officiating and scouting.
  • Pro Bowl festivities for youth and their families will take place throughout the week across Orlando, including a parade of Pro Bowl players in the Magic Kingdom and Pro Bowl-themed 5K.

The NFL is planning other events around Orlando, but I’m happy to see the ESPN WWOS get some love. Now only if Disney would bring back ESPN the Weekend!

Do you think you’ll attend any of the NFL Pro Bowl events at Walt Disney World?
