The Walt Disney Company has always been good at creating childhood actors who go on to have acting or performing careers as adults. Among the big names from recent years are: Ryan Gosling, Keri Russell, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Zac Efron. Also on the list is Corbin Bleu who has just been profiled by the NY Times for his role in the new Broadway take on the 1942 film “Holiday Inn” at the infamous Studio 54.

When we last checked in on Mr. Bleu, he was greeting hopeful auditioners for High School Musical 4, the latest installation of the show where he got his start at the age of 16. He’s now 27 and stepping into some very famous shoes on Broadway. His role was originated by none other than the great Fred Astaire.

It’s great to see Disney alums do well in their careers. Check him out next time you’re in New York City.
