Movie director Jon Favreau meets cast of The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic

Discovery River Amphitheater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been taken over by a new musical show – “The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic.” The show draws inspiration from and re-imagines the new “live-action” remake of Disney’s The Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreau.

Favreau was at the park last night for the first ever public performance of the new show. Afterward he stuck around to meet some of the cast and talk about what having the show in the park means to him.

“The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” musical is a limited-engagement celebration, featuring live performers, music, water screens and vibrant costumes, inspired by Indian culture and the blockbuster live-action film, “The Jungle Book.” Find it nightly at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the park’s new nightly awakenings offerings.
