Let me just tell you how much I love James Monroe Iglehart. He portrays The Genie in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway, a role he has won a Tony for, bringing magic to thousands of guests every week. This week, he decided to have a little fun at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York, which is located right around the corner from the home of Aladdin in the New Amsterdam theater on the world famous 42nd street.

Iglehart, dressed as The Genie, posed in a special photo op in the museum and, with the help of some museum hosts, surprised unsuspecting guests when he sprung to life!

What an awesome prank. Iglehart is so funny. I guess you really can’t tell what’s wax and what’s real sometimes.
