Disney Springs mini-update: STK, Planet Hollywood, Tablas Frontera and more

Since our last update from Disney Springs, we had the opportunity to visit Morimoto Asia and enjoy some of its spring beverage choices up on the second floor deck. While there, we took advantage of the view to document some of the hard to see construction going on in the Town Center area of the massive project with an emphasis on the new dining options.

With the recently revised concept art for Planet Hollywood Observatory, you can see how the transformation to that new look is already underway. They’ve painted the metal struts a deep red and removed all the exterior signage. I hope it looks as good as the finished product does in my imagination.

Right next to STK, which looks almost ready to open (I’m told it won’t be too much longer), will be Art Smith’s Homecoming, which will be a southern comfort food restaurant focused on fresh ingredients. When I was there, they were just starting vertical construction.

Finally, we got a good look at what will be Tablas Frontera, a new concept from Rick Bayless, and D-Luxe Burgers, a Disney owned and operated gourmet burger location.

That’s our mini-update from Disney Springs, don’t miss our previous mega-construction update from March.
