When you play a dinosaur on the big screen, it’s important you have a roar like a dinosaur. In fact, how Arlo comes to discover his own roar becomes a key element of the story in Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur.” A new special feature from the Blu-Ray DVD focuses on how the different voice actors from the movie found and then recorded their character’s particular roars for the movie.
As Director and write Peter Sohn says, roars are tough, especially for an animated film, because they have to sound like they can speak like a human, but still have to have that authentic dinosaur sound.
