frozen_sisters2

Showing the power of sisterly love will persevere, Disney has announced a “Frozen” holiday special is being produced for next year’s holiday season. The special is currently untitled, but it promises to bring back Olaf, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Sven for the holiday adventure.

The 2017 special will see the return of Prep & Landing directors Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton. Roy Conli, who produced Disney’s Big Hero 6, will also be onĀ  the project. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad are also scheduled to reprise their voice roles.

Since it’s theatrical debut back in 2013, Disney has released a “Frozen” themed short, “Frozen Fever,” announced a theme park show at Disney California Adventure,a “Frozen Ever After” theme park attraction at EPCOT, and a Broadway musical. We’re also told a feature length sequel is in the works. Do you think Disney can successful extend the franchise any further?

  1. I hope they ride this “Frozen” wave as long as they can…it is appealing…it is sweet (that is not a bad thing, people) and in this day and age it is nice to have something non-violent around both for children and adults like me who like Disney things. As an added bonus…we have Disney stock..and the movie and all the merchandise tie-ins only help the value of the stock. Not to mention provide the company with funds to make additional things for Disney World possible!
