Star Wars fans rejoice! There is now an official Star Wars app where you can read all the breaking news, research history, learn trivia, and so much more!

The app will keep you updated on everything happening with the upcoming Star Wars movies, including a news ticker, movie countdown timer, and exclusive interviews. You can also discover behind-the-scenes fun facts with This Day In Star Wars History, and play classic sound clips and sound effects from your favorite Star Wars characters, creatures, weapons, vehicles, and scenes.

You can theme your app with Light Side, Dark Side, or Droid interfaces, each containing different designs, sounds, and animations. Declare your allegiance with your app!

And it’s not all news and seriousness. You can get Star Wars-themed weather and five-day forecasts, featuring original art and parallax effects of in-universe planets and locales, wield a lightsaber and hone your skills against a training remote, and even share a Star Wars “selfie” with characters in various iconic costumes and settings, including Jedis, Princess Leia (with hair buns), and Han Solo’s carbon freeze.

Best of all, the app is free to download in both iOS and Android formats. Visit the iTunes or Google Play to download. Be warned, though, this app is a large file, so you’ll need quite a bit of memory on your phone.

To learn more about the app, here is an official trailer video from StarWars.com.

I have a LG Gvista phone running the most up to date operating system and ever time I try to download this app it tells me it’s not compatible with my device. I have searched and tried everything I can think of to figure out why this is. Phone is only couple months old so really lost as to why it won’t work. Any help would be appreciated.
