New Adventureland restaurant construction update – May 2015

The Magic Kingdom will soon be home to a new restaurant experience in Adventureland. The old Verandah space is reportedly being converted to a Jungle Cruise themed concept that will operate similarly to the Be Out Guest restaurant with quick service lunch and sit-down dinner. The new restaurant will be located just to the right as you enter Adventureland from the hub/plaza, but will share a kitchen with the Liberty Tree Tavern.

Here’s a quick look at the latest remodeling progress

No official word yet on a name or opening date. But it’s expected to open in 2016 in time for Summer. Increased dining capacity is definitely needed at the Magic Kingdom.

  1. I heard it’s going to be called “The Skippers’ Cantina” — the Jungle Cruise skippers wanted to earn some extra money on the side, so they opened a restaurant.

I hope it’s “enchanted” the same way Trader Sam’s is at the Polynesian. :-D
