A huge new glass wall sculpture installation was recently added to the Arribas Brothers store in Downtown Disney. The blown glass artwork by St. Augustine artist Thomas Long evokes a fluid, floral feeling drawing blasts of color and light into a space that was pretty empty before. It’s hard to understand the scale of the installation unless you’re there in person.
When I first saw them I was immediately reminded of Dale Chihuly’s installation in the Bellagio Las Vegas. Long has been blowing glass for 28 years and is known for his colorful residential and commercial custom designs.
Thomas Long’s Beautiful sculptures aren’t for sale, but you can see them on your next visit to the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney inside the Arribas Brother’s store.
