Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse appear at Sleeping Beauty Castle in their sparkling new costumes created especially for the Diamond Celebration at the Disneyland Resort. Mickey and his friends will debut their new costumes when the Diamond Celebration begins on May 22, 2015 with the special 24-hour day.
Disneyland also shared this video teasing more about the nighttime entertainment coming to the park. Steve Davison, vice president of Parades and Spectaculars, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, dished on the shows that will be debuting next month:
I haven’t seen much more about the new “World of Color: Celebrate!” show, but Davison is certainly excited about it. The new “Disneyland Forever” fireworks show is interesting in how ‘wild’ it might be and “Paint the Night” parade promises a much more upbeat and pop parade than most patrons are used to. Together, the Fireworks and Parade promise to transform the night time experience at Disneyland into something more akin to a huge party. That seems appropriate for a major birthday like the 60th anniversary.
