Rocket Reel: The making of Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is often mentioned as one of the favorite characters from the film. Some even suggested Bradley cooper get a Best Supporting Actor for the role. They also wanted to include the team at visual effects house Framestore that created the computer generated raccoon character.

Today, we get to see an interesting video showing some of the steps involved in creating Rocket Raccoon. It involves everything from on-set standins to pre-viz, to amazingly detailed computer generated effects;

Frameworks had to walk a tight line with the character. He couldn’t be too cartoony, but he also had to fit in the comicbook reality of the movie. How good of job do you think they did?
