We’re just a few days away from the March 4th start of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. As usual, work starts a couple weeks early as flower beds are planted and structures are loaded in. Here’s one booth near Innoventions being constructed.

We took a brief visit to China for the Chinese New Year today and along the way we snapped a couple pictures of the park as is prepared for freezing temperatures over the night. The blankets protect the flowers from the cold, in theory at least.

If you look closely in the background of this one, you can see the Monsters Inc playground going up.

China had a small display of a sheep to celebrate the year of the sheep. Of course, it might be a goat or a ram too, just depends who you ask.

There were also a number of the Outdoor Kitchens going up around the World Showcase Lagoon. This includes the new Botanas Botánico booth between France and Morocco pavilions. It will showcase treats like Cachapas with Farmer’s Cheese, a sweet yellow corn pancake, and Seafood Ceviche with shrimp, scallops and grouper with mango and avocado.

The festival runs for 75 days this year. Will you be attending?
