Downtown Disney parking garage activates spot finder system

06-disneysprings-garage-1

The first of two Disney Springs parking garages continues to close in on full operational status. Most of floors 1-4 are now open to guests, but the entrance ramps from Lake Buena Vista drive are still not complete.

This has created a bit of a traffic jam at times as the garage’s internal traffic patterns can become something of a mess.

The good news is that you can now see how many spots are available on each level as you enter the garage. Then when you’re driving around, signs above each lane will tell you how many, if any, spots are available in that lane. Just drive until you see a green light above an open space and you’re all set.

I got to try the system this weekend and it worked great. Now, all they need is a system to help you find your car at the end of the night.

Was just at this garage this past Saturday and noticed the new system. Works great!!! Makes finding a row with open spaces so much easier.
