Thor: The Dark World opened overseas this weekend to $45.3 million. That’s a good sign.

Marvel announced that there will be a special 5 minute preview of Captain America: Winter Soldier for the 3-D showings of The Dark World. I realize that this is a marketing ploy to boost 3-D sales, but I am considering shelling out the extra cash for it.

They also announced that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be doing a crossover with this movie on November 19. The team will be dealing with the aftermath of the events in the film.

The Thor: Dark World Prelude graphic novel came out this week which fills in some of the gaps between Thor, The Avengers and The Dark World.

Thor: Treasures of Asgard exhibit opened at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.

Outside of the world of The Mighty Avenger; Ben Kingsley teased that he is working on a secret project with Marvel. Most people think that it will be one of the Marvel One-Shot short films.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as Quicksilver in the next Avengers movie. I’ll be interested in seeing how Fox portrays the character in the next X-Men movie and how Disney does it for the Avengers.

So, who is going to see Thor next weekend?
