Yesterday we took a walk around the
construction site for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster. Lots of work being done, even if it’s slow. Slow is the theme for the rest of the Magic Kingdom as well. Lots of stuff going on, but nothing much is happening fast.
So let’s head out on our photo update and see what’s new since our last trip around the park:
Construction still underway at converting more gates to the MyMagic+ style
The new gates don’t have turnstiles, so these lovely devices now track how many people enter and leave the parks. There’s a set above each tunnel
Work on the sidewalk infront of the Emporium has expanded
Still working on the Veranda courtyard.
Alas, that building in Liberty Square is yet another Disney Visa booth. I think we’ve officially reached out limit on those
The pillars and gates in front of the Haunted Mansion are getting some TLC
MyMobile Magic and Fastpass+ was testing. I saw a few wristbands, but only one group using it as Fastpass.
There’s a new electronics charging station inside Mickey’s Star Traders. This one has the advantage of being air-conditioned. Yeah!
RocketTower Theater is getting some work down for halloween parties, but the sign says they’re still holding the party each night
Here’s the temporary stage they’re using. Kinda pathetic. But at least they’re making an attempt right?
Finally some exterior signs of progress on the Princess Hall
walls are up around the carousel
Event Friar’s Nook was open. Alas they forgot to bring out the chairs and tables
Doors have been installed in the New Fantasyland backstage access area
You can also get help configuring your MyMagic+ account in Town Square Theater
I call this one “Portrait of a Disney Blogger”
They’ve also been replacing the infrared devices that were used for Pal Mickey. Not sure if they’re planning a comeback for the interactive doll, but that would be cool.
DVC Tower at Grand Floridian is nearly complete. Some interior work and landscaping still to do
Here’s the welcome area. Turned out pretty nice if you ask me
Thanks for joining me on this photo update. Stay tuned for our latest merchandise update soon.
