From near the Winnie the Pooh ride, the mountain is decidedly unfinished.

Construction on the final attraction that is a part of New Fantasyland is coming along nicely, if a bit slow. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is currently schedule to open some time in 2014. If you look at the ‘back half’ (the side facing the Little Mermaid attraction) you would be forgiven to thinking it was almost done. But a look at it from the Winnie the Pooh side and you’ll see they have a very long way to go.

The roller coaster is slated to be more exciting than Goofy’s Barmstormer, but less intense then Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It will have a unique system of swinging cars that will allow the track to take sharp turns outside. There will also be a series of indoor show scenes using some classic dark ride techniques along with newer storytelling devices.

  1. Do you know if they trying to get the LM side done first since its a bit of a bottleneck there especially with the way the stroller parking has been there? I’m assuming once the walls come doen there will be some extra space and maybe some dedicated stroller parking.
