The Lone Ranger – New Trailer

A new trailer for The Lone Ranger was released today and it reveals a lot more of the wild, gritty world created by the team that brought us the popular Pirates of the Caribbean films. Of course, it’s not just the creative team, but it’s Johnny Depp as Tonto. New to the mix is Armie Hammer who plays the title role. In this trailer we’re re-acquainted with the legendary back story of the Lone Ranger and we see a bit more about where the film goes from there.

Here’s the synopsis:

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. 1. Depp’s overacting as “Captain Jack Tonto” makes Shatner look like an academy award worthy actor. I am NOT excited by, or happy about, this movie.
