The acrobatic hijinks of the Festival of the Lion King’s monkey act is one of the most high energy sections of the show. We’ve known that Disney likes to recruit form Olympic gymnasts to play one of those roles. With the London games now wrapped up, it’s time to meet cast member Joey Hagerty, one of the performers whose Olympic background helps add that extra element to the show. Joey is a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and today he’s sharing how teamwork and gymnastic skills are important to his part of the magic.
