New Disney Parks Dooney & Bourke Designs Coming Soon

Some exciting news for Disney Dooney & Bourke fans was announced on the Disney Parks Blog today! Three new designs will be released on July 14th at TrenD in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World: the much anticipated Retro design for the Walt Disney World Resort, the Charms pattern, and a re-imagined nylon version of the classic Sketch design.

The Walt Disney World Retro design, created by artist Susan Foy, features different park and attraction icons from throughout the resort, including Cinderella’s Castle (complete with Partner’s Statue), Spaceship Earth, the Main Street Train Station, and many others. If you’ve seen the Disneyland Retro design, you may notice some similarities, as Susan designed both of them for the Disney Parks line. The new design will be available on a variety of bag styles such as the barrel bag, wristlet and crossbody designs, along with a new tassel tote and tablet case. Prices range from $85-$285. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty geeked to see Spaceship Earth on a Disney Dooney!

The Charms design was created by artist Courtney Williams to depict different charm bracelets with many of your favorite Disney characters and park icons. The pattern will be offered in both a white background (letter carrier, wristlet and barrel bag)and black background (pocket tote, satchel, wristlet and tablet case).

The last new design is a re-imagined version of the pattern that started it all, the Classic Sketch design. This new version will be on nylon, and will be offered in a backpack style bag (due popular demand) along with a satchel, pocket satchel, and letter carrier. According to Laura Caszatt, Product Developer for accessories, the nylon version of the Classic Sketch design may or may not be a part of the July 14th festivities, but if not, will arrive sometime after the release party.

On hand for the July 14th release party at TrenD will be Susan Foy, the artist behind the new Retro designs for both WDW and Disneyland, and Ian Ray, Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke. TrenD will open at 9:30am, while the meet & greet with Susan and Ian will be from 11am-1pm. Wish I could make it! Will you be there?

If you can’t make it to TrenD some of the New Dooney and Bourke arrivals from the Disney Parks are now available at DisneyStore.com!

  1. Little Miss Disney

It’s moments like this I wish I didn’t live in England. I guess I just have to be happy for the ones who can go there, and keep an eye on eBay. Picture three – wow. I love it. Ugh! Curse you high prices to Florida!

  2. I have to say that I don’t understand these for one major reason – the materials they use on them feel like cheap plastic in person. I hope this next batch is better, but they don’t seem that way based on the photo.

The ones before this were not the same DB bag quality you would find in a department store. I’ve read reviews that someone had one, got caught in the rain and the ink ran on it. I don’t get why they’d make this collaboration variant from their usual quality.

  3. Do you know where I can find Dooney and Burkey Disney Tinker Bell bags? Please let me know. Thanks so much
