After an opening Motown Medley, Jaleel and Kym were the first to find out they were safe on this week’s results show. Maria and Derek and Melissa and Maks were sad to learn they were in jeopardy, but William and Cheryl were ecstatic to be safe. I loved this week’s moving AT&T Spotlight Performance featuring a young ballerina dancing to Natasha Bedingfield singing live.
After the Macy’s Stars of Dance performance and a live show from Boyz II Men, we got back to the results. Katherine and Mark and Donald and Peta heard they were safe, while Gladys and Tristan and Roshon and Chelsie joined the other couples in jeopardy. When Melissa and Maks and Maria and Derek were declared safe, Gladys and Tristan and Roshon and Chelsie were left in the bottom two.
The dance duel featured Gladys and Tristan and Roshon and Chelsie squaring off against each other with the jive. Both couples did a great job. Carrie Ann chose to save Gladys and Tristan, but when Len and Bruno voted to save Roshon and Chelsie, it was the end of Gladys’ dancing days. The show was honored to have a living legend in the ballroom.
