Disney The Muppets Releases first Full Trailer

The marketing machine behind the new Muppets movie has been very busy as of late. They’ve produced spoof and parody trailers that have been very successful at creating some buzz. I really like that strategy. It harkens back to the concept behind a lot of the skits on the original Muppets variety show.

Now they’ve released the first trailer that’s an original effort to promote the movie.

It misses a few beats for me (for instance, we are not presented with the reason they’re getting the band back together), but I do like it. How about you?

Previously the Disney Muppet Parody Trailers: “Being Green Lantern“, “The Hangover II“, and “Green with Envy.”

Give it time, this is only the first official trailer. As the release date gets closer, there will be trailers that will give additional information. This is a common movie industry practice.

I think it looks great I love the Muppets! =) Perhaps they didn’t want to reveal to much and thats why we are not presented with a reason for the band getting back together? Can’t put to much into on trailer without giving the whole movie away. Who knows though we will just have to wait and see

This is the way a trailer is supposed to be. You’re not supposed to give every detail away in the trailer – thats why you go see the movie.
