Cars Land Topping Off Ceremony at California Adventure

Disney Parks has released this video of the Topping Off ceremony at Cars Land, a mega-expansion coming to California Adventure park at Disneyland.

What a great moment for the team, but there’s still a lot of work ahead. Disney is leaning heavily on Pixar to help fix the mess that is California Adventure, this should go a long way in that direction.

If you can, pause the video when it’s showing the model of the attraction. Then squint a bit and imagine it’s the pod-racing seen from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. If Disney decides to bring this technology to Orlando, would you rather have a Cars Land clone or a whole Star Wars land?

Would I like a replica or something new and original? Um, original.

Really grinds my gears when I go to Disneyland to ride the same attraction as in Florida. Give us something original.

Plus, a Star Wars land sounds so much cooler than a Cars Land. Just saying.

  4. Is the “E Ticket” Ride going to have a height restriction? My two year old and all his friends are absolutely nuts over McQueen and honestly if he sees that and isn’t allowed to ride it all heck will break loose. I am really hoping you guys understand your fan base begins at age 2 (ok, 1 and a half but we aren’t supposed to let them watch tv before two!) Perhaps you will have car seats for the younger riders so they can enjoy and the parents and the rest of the guests don’t have to endure temper tantrums all over Radiator Springs! Please please please! Thank you!!!

  5. Cars Land come to life is my little boys dream come true! from the moment he wakes up to the moment he falls asleep, all he does is talk about “Cars.” He carries his diecast Lightning McQueen everywhere! He constantly asks to watch the movie (every day, several times a day). I just wish we could afford to go!
