Disney World agrees to pay clerks for unpaid work

69 current and former inventory clerks at Walt Disney World are about to get an average of $6250 richer after a settlement between them and the Disney Company. Work policies in the Food and Beverage department weren’t properly followed by managers resulting the clerks working many unpaid hours. Disney has agreed to pay $433,000 in back pay to the workers.

Oops. Glad to see Disney is paying up.

  2. Actually, if the back pay is $433,000, Disney should be paying A LOT more…. technically 8 hours extra per day (or the equivalent of) since the incident(s) occurred. (I believe up to a 365 day max per incident)

At least that is the way it is supposed to work in California if you don’t get paid properly, I would imagine that Florida is similar.
