From Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello files we learn that Paula Abdul will move to the ABC Network as host of a re-launched “Star Struck”. Abdul, of course, is not on American Idol this year and three was some speculation that she would follow Idol judge Simon Cowell to his new show ‘X Factor.’
So, are you happy to have Adbul and all her quirks on ABC? My question for Disney is what took them so long to come up with a competitor to American Idol, which has been drinking their milkshake for years now.
Star Search was revived by NBC just 6 years ago to compete against American Idol and didn’t fare too well. I wonder what Disney is going to do differently?
