Yet another arrest in a continuing string of arrests of Disney World employees who are in possession of child porn was reported by the Orlando Sentinel today.In this case a 32 year-old food service worker was found with over 5,000 images on his computer.
I realize Disney is pretty powerless to keep bad eggs out when they have a cast size of 60,000 employees, but it’s starting to look like more than a coincidence.
I don’t know if this person will be accused of molesting anyone or producing child porn through some connection to his job, but these people might – just might – seek out vocations where they have access to children, especially when they will be in a position of trust. We should not be shocked when clergy or educators or even law enforcement are busted.
Also, as you point out – 60,000 employees. What is the ratio of such busts to the general population? I’d like to know.
This guy worked food services, it isn’t like he had a large amount of access to children. Fact of the matter is that crimes like this are on the rise, and with 60,000 employees it is going to happen. Thankfully, more and more creeps like this are getting caught.
