Red Shirts Return to Orlando – Gay Days are back

Today through June 7 marks the annual Orlando gathering known as Gay Days when members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and supportive community is encouraged to “Wear Red and Be Seen” while visiting the world’s most popular theme parks and resorts.

It began in 1991 with just one park and has since grown into a major event for the Orlando economy bringing in an estimated 75,000 visitors for the week. This year seems to have more stuff packed into the calendar than ever before.

The Orlando Sentinel has 5 tips to make June 6th (the Magic Kingdom meetup) the best! Some find that the crowds at the MK on the 6th are unmanageable, good thing there are three other Disney parks to enjoy that day.
