Manta at Seaworld Orlando, First Onride Video

Here’s your first look at an on-ride video from the front row point of view of the new Manta roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando. Alas, it’s not the whole experience, but it’s exciting. If you can’t wait til May 22nd for the official first day… Read More »Manta at Seaworld Orlando, First Onride Video

Lost 5.14: The Variable

It’s finally happened. Lost has forayed so far into time-travel and sci-fi that I can’t keep up. If you are finding my recap here at The Disney Blog for the first time, I promise I am not really a moron. I swear I’m really a Lostie. But for the life of me, I will not be able to give a good theory or a well-thought out conjecture on what is happening on The Island. If you need some geeky-goodness check out Popular Mechanics post or Doc Jensen’s recap. If you’re just wanting to gush, roll your eyes or use lots of exclamation points, then you’ve come to the right place.

Thanks to EARTH, Disney plants 2.7 million trees to help heal forest

Making good on its promise, the Walt Disney Company has arranged with The Nature Conservancy to plant 2.7 million trees in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, one of the planet’s most endangered rainforests. In keeping with the Disneynature EARTH’s themes of protecting the planet and its wildlife, Walt Disney Studios volunteered to plant a tree in honor of every moviegoer who saw the film during its first week of release. The motion picture grossed an impressive $16.1 million at the box office during week one and broke an opening day record as well as an opening weekend record for a nature documentary.

Another Round for Roger Rabbit?

The MTV Movies Blog was there when Director Robert Zemeckis let loose that he’s been thinking of a return visit to Toon Town and the world of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Apparently the lure of 3D and motion capture technology has him thinking about what… Read More »Another Round for Roger Rabbit?

Star Wars Weekends – Cast Member Posters

I’ve just been sent these great set of posters used to promote the 2009 Star Wars Weekends among Disney’s Hollywood Studios Cast Members. Apparently these images not typically made available to the public. Too bad, they’d make great postcards or t-shirts. Enjoy! Previously: Celebrity Guest… Read More »Star Wars Weekends – Cast Member Posters
