I don’t know, the benefits for joining don’t seem that great. Exclusive merchandise? A discount to a convention thats 3000 miles away from me? And the thing I really don’t understand is the word “community.” Other than the convention, D23 doesn’t seem like a way for Disney fans to connect to each other or to the company.
When I first heard “community” before the details were released, I thought of a social networking site with a message board and picture/video sharing.
I think my money is better spent saving up for and then paying off a DVC membership. That’s my 2 cents.
