Amanda...great recap. I always wait a few days before reading, just so I can relive the episode after digesting it a bit. Regarding comment #6, we already know Faraday tries saving CS Lewis. Clearly, his conversation with the younger CS Lewis hasn't happened yet (he would have remembered it). I think moving forward, Faraday will jump through time to the period of the Dharma Initiative (they already showed that he was there in the first episode of the season), and he will meet CS Lewis, and try to the warn her.

But, correct me if I'm wrong...isn't Faraday the only one who hasn't gotten the nosebleeds? Also, I recall him having this notebook with a lot of "clues" in it. And, he knew about the motion through time almost immediately. Could it be that he has moved through time on this island before, and collected those notes. And, he is either immune to the effects, or "special" in some way (something having to do with his mother)?

I think the ratings decline is inevitable with a show this dense and continuity-heavy. Any show that lasts as long as "Lost" (especially taking such long breaks) is going to lose viewers. If it's going to stay at the same ratings level, it needs to attract new ones too, which would be close to impossible for Lost, given that anyone tuning in now would be utterly confused.

Which is fine with me. I've been on board since the start, and I'm happy the creators and following their own muse, rather than pandering to the ratings. The show does well enough to last as much longer as they need it to, and that's all I need.

Sexy Eyes is Richard Alpert, the guy who obviously lived on The Island ALL TIME and never grows any older...
Remember the scene where little Ben tried to figure out whats up with that huge fence and whats behind it...?? When he climbed over it (???) and fell, long haired sexy eyes talked to him...

I dont know what Alpert was doing on The Island at that time exactly...

btw, like your recaps, will show up here again.

I had another thought! Re: Locke's legs - do you think he has to go back in the same condition in which he came? i.e. unable to use his legs????

Ugh, please stop with the nicknames. "Sexy Eyes"? Who is that? I spend too much time trying to figure out who you are talking about. Sorry... it bugs me.

I was wondering the same thing about whether or not they would be going back to the island so quickly, expecially after seeing the preview for next week. We see Hurley, Sayid and Kate. How in the world did he get them all there that fast and will all they showed us in the preview actually happen all next week?

So many more questions! But I love this show!

Oh and Doc Jensen's recap was amazing.

Re: Question 5, At some point last night, it was indicated that Sun was the one who looked up Locke, and Locke never mentioned Jin. I really want to know what happened to Locke between when he got off the island and when he died.

I also found it interesting that Locke was told HE had to move the island. I'd never picked up on that before. I wonder if this is why Ben is so intent to fix things. And I'm wondering if he has done as much to protect the 6 or if he has made their lives miserable so they would come back.

I am so sorry that my CS Lewis is dead. (I've been a Narnia fan for 25 years.)

I was also wondering about Sun's daughter when she goes back to the island.

We knew from the moment we met Rousseau killed her crew members because they were "sick." I'm now wondering if something happened to them in that cave or if she really was that crazy (which was always my take on things.)

This episode was awesome! Loved it!!

Several things I noticed: Christian told Locke that he was supposed to move the Island, not Ben. Ben used Jin's ring for the opposite purpose that Jin gave it to Locke in the first place. Last week, I was starting to warm up to Ben. NOT ANYMORE!! That man is so selfish! It's all about HIS agenda and he doesn't care who has to manipulate or kill to get his agenda done! Ugh - he frustrates me!!

I am so, so, so disappointed that it looks like Desmond will go back to the Island. Poor Penny and Charlie.

I'm going to have to do some catch up reading on Danielle. I don't know that I remember the fact about her killing her crewmates.

Also, I thought the acting was AMAZING in Charlotte's hallucinations and death scenes. Wonderful and so believable. Or I'm just hooked on this show!

[...] Can I just say how delicious last night’s episode was?! I know there’s a little talk about Lost’s ratings being down–but I couldn’t love the show more! We’ve had four seasons of character driven craziness. I have fallen in love with all of our Losties (and even our baddies) and if Lindelof and Cuse bring us the freakiest sci-fi they can muster, I’ll still love it! If we had seen this time travel in season 1, the show would have never made it. But bringing it to us this late in the game is making sci-fi fans out of regular folk…read more at The Disney Blog [...]
