No SeaWorld, Busch Gardens in Dubai

The vacation destination of the world, Dubai, is turning out to be a mirage. Busch Entertainment just announced that the “Worlds of Discovery” park that was to be constructed in Dubai, on a Shamu shaped island, is off the table. Other projects are also having troubles as credit to complete them just isn’t available.

This is certainly good news for Central Florida destinations who will face less compitition for overseas visitors. Not so good for the BEC employees who had already transfered to the team working on the Dubai project. No word if they’ll be reassigned elsewhere in the company.

  1. Simon says:

    That just sucks

  2. No Seaworld for Dubai means more international visitors to Central Florida – http://is.gd/ilqi – I wonder if they’ve built Shamu Island yet?
