John Lasseter, Steve Jobs make Newsweek 50 Most Powerful

When you look at the list of Newsweek’s 50 Most Powerful People it includes the names you would expect. The Obamas, The Clintons, Putin, Buffet, etc. But also on the list are two names you might expect to see elsewhere this awards season. Both Steve Jobs and John Lasseter appear at 34 and 35 respectively.

It’s nice to see Pixar’s creative masters getting their due (Throw a lot of apple and iphone in for Jobs of course). Reading Lasseter’s profile gives one a good perspective on how much Pixar has influenced the world and just how difficult it is to do what Lasseter has.

  1. You would think that Newsweek would actually do some research for this article. In Lasseter’s profile, they claim that Pixar produced Bolt and that that are making The Princess And The Frog. Disapointing.
