- Scott Powers at the Orlando Sentinel enjoyed the recent Viral Video effort by Disney Parks to promote the theme of Celebration for next year.
- Disney Theatrical finds a challenger on Broadway in the form of Dreamwork’s “Shrek” musical. It’s Ogre vs Mermaid in a Times Square Thriller.

That PJ O’Rourke article was great! It captures quite eloquently what I see as the decline of the future. We are surely in a new dark age when that new house of the future is the best our culture can come up with. In the 50s and 60s, the future was exciting and optimistic. In the 70s and 80s it got scary and dangerous. Now, it’s like it doesn’t exist. Today’s future is the present or past.
Please take no offense at the comment! I’m as much a Disney fanatic as the next person, and spend way too much time stalking Disney websites and blogs. I’m wondering if there is a group rate for the Disney folks I stalk to obtain restraining orders??
