How good was Disney at predicting the future?

I missed experiencing Horizons at EPCOT by just a few months. I’m not sure I would have appreciated it to its fullest if I caught it at the end of its run. Thankfully, through the magic of the internet, I can capture the magic of Horizons in other ways.

Progressland was infected with the magic of Horizons. He has made this excellent video to show how good Disney was as predicting (inventing?) the future. Look at how much has become a reality a scant 25 years into the future from the opening of Horizons.

I’m not sure I agree with all of his conclusions. But it’s need to see how far we’ve come since 1983.

This is great! I remember going on Horizons as a little girl and being in total awe. It’s amazing how prophetic it turned out to be.
