Wow I didn't realize people had talked about this. I was in the park that day waiting for Toy Story Mania and they had the whole park closed and emptied so quick I couldn't believe it. No panic, no running.... it was a small quake and they just shut down all the rides and food and people got the clue.

I felt it here about 10 miles down the 5 from Disneyland. It was mostly a gentle rolling sensation for me, in a second story apartment. A couple things fell off shelves but nothing damaged that I can see. I barely felt the biggest aftershock some time later. From the news reports, there hasn't been a whole lot of damage, thankfully.

Disney Cast Portal info:

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake has hit Southern California 3 miles West of Chino Hills. No reports of damage to Disney properties have been reported at this time, and all facilities remain open.

Crisis teams in Burbank and Anaheim have been activated and continue to monitor the situation. More information will follow as necessary.

If you have family in or near the affected area, please feel free to ensure their safety and well-being. Please note that, according to the National Earthquake Center, aftershocks of varying intensity are likely within the next 72 hours.

The earthquake was a short powerful one. Probably a good thing it was short, otherwise it could have caused some damage and injuries.

You can still feel some aftershocks, but they aren't strong and the power of the aftershocks would only scare the tourists who haven't dealt with a little shake before. So far so good, especially considering that aftershocks can be more powerful in some cases.

"Earthquake shut down disney. Everyone told to leave for awhile and come back later. Being funneled out now".

It was no fun. I've been through several quakes in SoCal, and this one was strong enough to be scary.
