Epcot lands Bocuse d’Or World Cuisine Competition

Epcot will host the Bocuse d’Or World Cuisine Competition this year during the first weekend of the Food & Wine festival. The Bocuse d’Or World Cuisine is one of the most prestigious food competitions in the world. To have it hosted at EPCOT is a real coup for the Food & Wine festival. The winner of this contest will travel to France to represent the USA in the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon.

Good Stuff. I wonder if this is the harbinger of things to come. The Food Network has already filmed a couple “Food Challenges” here with a Princess and Villain Cake Challenge. I would love the opportunity to be in the audiences for something like that as part of the F&W festival. How about a cooking/recipe contest guests could enter. Apply online before the festival and then get the chance to cook off against Disney Chefs in an Iron Chef-esque battle.

More, including the 8 chefs who will be competitng, at the Orlando Sentinel….

  1. I just saw a cake decorating contest with Pixar themes. It was really cool. It may have been old since the latest film featured was Nemo, but still fun.
