All true, perhaps. But somehow, when I’m there, I manage to overlook most of those things long enough to make memories worth going back to relive.
It’s gratifying to see things haven’t changed much since I was a ride operator back in the Pleistocene Era (1960s). The code word for a woman displaying an attractive decolletage was “eagle.” As on the Skyway, “Eagle coming over in bucket 26.” If she displayed something a bit lower, the code word was another animal. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose, eh?
