I've been wanting Disney to return Mickey from his exile to Playhouse Disney. It's great that he's there, but dagnabbit, why can't they also make the House of Mouse-style Mickey show any more?

Therefore, I am very glad to hear that a new short is in the works.

I sure hope they don't change him TOO much. Or the beloved Mickey that millions of people grew up with will be gone.

I honestly don't think that today's generation needs more of these classic images changed to "relate" to them. They're spoiled enough already with all the technology they have access to. I think they should keep it classic

Kids today are smart. They'll notice if the "big companies" try to "relate" to them, and that's the last thing they want. (Because it's uncool)

Millions of people still love the look of Disney. And if some of the generation today don't, we should just leave them alone and cater to the people that already do. Don't abandon us in your quest to "better yourself for the future"

I'm not against a possible wardrobe change, but if the image changes, then I'll have to re-evaluate my trust for the Disney company

While it sucks when we see the things we love changed, we must always keep in mind that it was Walt Disney himself who always believed in constant innovation and change to keep things fresh. Truthfully, it is more important for Disney to be relevant to the next generations of kids than for us. We already grew up with it and loved it... now it's their turn. As long as Disney takes the correct steps to make this happen (as opposed to changing Mickey and then having it backfire) then I think we should be in support of it.
