Alert: Google Earth now featuring Walt Disney World

I won’t get to see it until I get into work tomorrow morning, but the word is out–Google Earth has finally released its virtual Walt Disney World. Inside you can see 3D versions of most buildings, attractions, and major features in the Walt Disney World resort.

To see it you will have to download Google Earth and enable virtual buildings. Then navigate over to Walt Disney World and explore in all its virtual glory.

  1. Howdy John,

I took a few moments to download the newest version of Google Earth (hadn’t done that in quite a while) and zoomed in to the WDW resort. The 3D models look great, bright and colorful. Lots of helpful photos and videos have also been added to the placemarks. It all looks really cool. They did a great job.

I’ve got a little mini review and some screen shots up on MiceChat. Please feel free to use them if you’d like.

Cheers and thank you for your always wonderful posts!

  2. Thanks for alerting me to this. I’m already a Google Earth nut as it was. So when I read this post, I immediately popped it open and saw the virtual Walt Disney World in all its glory.

I was impressed that they not only did their parks, but the resorts as well.

Can’t wait for them to get around to the Anaheim parks! :)
