Friday Fun – Disney Links Roundup

Just a few quick links to get you excited about some upcoming Disney news and events:

  • The Disney Channel games are returning to Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports on April 28th. Find out who is playing and when.
  • LOST is returning on April 24th… yep a Thursday. Producers Lindelof and Cuse discussed the upcoming season in a conference call and TV Squad has the deets.
  • Congratulations to Pixar’s Brad Bird who will be given a lifetime achievement award by the Writer’s Guide of America next week. Bird is currently working on a live action version of 1906 for Pixar opening up a new avenue for the studio.
  • George at Imaginerding’s wife signed up to be one of the Disney Moms Panel. She wasn’t selected, but she will be part of a larger social networking experiment by Disney called the Mickey Moms Club. George unpacks the welcoming packet that contained details on the new club.
  • Sonya Smith at the OC Register looks at some of the more artistic efforts by the VMK Community to save their world.
  • Greg Emmer, who recently left the top operations spot at Disneyland has joined ORCA, a themed-entertainment consulting and planning group.
  • I twittered this excellent Papercraft Skyway Model yesterday. But it deserves linking to from the main blog. If you’re a Disney papercraft builder please send me links to your stuff, I’d love to see it.
