Congrats to Michael Jordan, Master Sommelier at Napa Rose

Congratulations to Michael Jordan, restaurant manager of Napa Rose at the Disneyland Resort’s Grand Californian Hotel, for his recently received title of Master Sommelier.

The distinction marks the highest recognition of wine,
spirits, beverage service abilities and professionalism in the
hospitality trade. Jordan is one of two experts to be named Master
Sommelier after the latest round of rigorous testing by the Court,
which consists of a four-stage process beginning with an introductory
course and ending with a Master Sommelier diploma exam.

In total, 87 professionals in North America and 158 worldwide have
earned the title since the Court’s inception in 1969. The Court was
established to improve the standards of beverage knowledge and service
in hotels and restaurants, and remains dedicated to its charter of
education. The first American chapter was established in 1984 and its
first exam held in Monterey, Calif., in 1987.
