Two Disney Author Signings this December in Celebration

If you’re going to be in the Orlando area on December 7th or 8th, perhaps for Mousefest, then you should consider carving out time for an evening or two with two Disney authors. California Author David Koenig and Disney Imagineer Jason Surrell will share stories of the development and construction of Walt Disney World at Reading Trout Books in Celebration, Fl.

On Friday, December 7 at 7:30PM, David Koenig, author of Realityland: True Life Adventures at Walt Disney World, will present a multi-media story of how Walt Disney and his company designed and built the most notable entertainment complex in the world.

Highlights include considerable details about the development of Epcot Center as well as numerous projects destined not to make it beyond the drawing board. The author spent over 10 years and conducted over 100 interviews in the research of this book, his first tile about the Walt Disney Company in Florida.

Previously, David Koenig focused his work on the Disneyland Resort with titles including Mouse Under Glass and Mouse Tales. All of the author’s works are available now and will be discounted 10% during the event.

The following night, Saturday, December 8 at 7:30PM, Walt Disney Imagineer and Show Producer, Jason Surrell, will host a question and answer session about his newest book, The Disney Mountains. This title highlights the stories behind the 18 “mountain” attractions at Disney Theme Parks around the world.

Jason Surrell, is also the author of Disney titles including Pirates of the Caribbean: From Magic Kingdom to the Movies, The Haunted Mansion: From Magic Kingdom to the Movies and Screenplay by Disney. All of the author’s works are available now and will be discounted 10% during the event.

Located in the Town Center of the master planned community of Celebration and featuring an interior design inspired by a 1940’s Homefront Lounge, Reading Trout Books carries over 12,000 volumes of new and used books. The store specializes in unique titles from categories including Celebration and New Urbanism, Young Adults, Business, Fiction as well as Rare and Current Disney Editions.
