Dancing with the Stars – Round Six Results

Encore – Well there was no suspense to the encore.  The first shot of the couples showed them in their group dance get up.  Heck, we haven’t even gotten to it yet, and I’ve already written this.  But it is the encore I called, and it was so much fun it really doesn’t surprise me.  In fact, I would have been surprised if they had picked something else.

Once again Jane Seymour wasn’t able to be part of the results show, this time because of food poisoning.  I seriously hope she is okay.  If you watched during the group dance, Tony Dovolani was out there dancing by himself.  I was wondering what they’d do about that during the encore.  But if that’s the worst that happens because she’s sick, that’s not bad at all.  And as much as I think she is one of the weaker dancers, I am glad she didn’t leave tonight when she couldn’t have said goodbye.

The Bottom Two:
Cameron Mathison & Edyta Silwinska
Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas

It’s interesting to note that both of these couple were tied after the judges scores.  I did pick Cameron to be in the bottom two, but I really did figure that Sabrina’s fans from The Cheetah Girls would keep her on the show.

I am absolutely shocked that Sabrina left.  I actually turned on the TV in time to see the outcome, then went back and watched my tape of the show.  I still can’t believe it.  Like Tom, I had her pegged to go all the way and be a serious threat to win it all.  This just goes to prove two things.  One, audience voting is critical.  Two, the field is so strong that one bad dance can be enough to ruin you.

Next week, the couples have two dances to perform solo, which means that the judges scores will separate everyone further.  With as unpredictable as this season has been, it will be interesting to see where we go from here.

  1. My mom has a theory. She thinks that Sabrina’s schedule was too hectic for her and that Sabrina requested to not finish out the show. My mom thinks so because Sabrina didn’t even cry when she was let go. So, rather than just announce Sabrina was leaving, the producers decided to have her “voted off” to make the show more interesting and to get more people to keep voting. I’m not sure if I buy into it, but it’s just a theory!

  2. Between when I logged in to leave the message and when I started typing, I am beginning to wonder more and more if that’s true. She did look very upset last night when it was announced she was leaving, but she had looked upset all night. Almost as if she knew she was leaving from the very beginning. It certainly made me curious what was going on as I watched the show knowing the outcome.

Probably not true, however. But an interesting thought.
