Charles Gibson on ABC World News Tonight

Charlie Gibson may have been the third choice of ABC news executives to fill the seat left vacant by the untimely death of Peter Jennings, but Gibson has always been my first choice. Two articles in the New York Times and Washington Post look at Gibson and how he has propelled ABC World News Tonight to the top of the ratings.

Gibson is 64 years old, so we only have a few more years before he takes a deserved retirement. Disney should make sure that Gibson is grooming a replacement that can step in with the same authority that Gibson currently displays.
